ABOUT DR. DAVIS 

Billie Jo Davis received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Montana .  After working a year at a Montana psychiatric hospital she pursued her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Washington State University under the direction of Dr. Tristram Smith.  While at WSU she participated in conducting treatment and  research for the UCLA multisite replication study. For her dissertation entitled “Evaluating Therapists in the UCLA Model of Treatment for Children with Autism,” she traveled across the USA evaluating program developers for children with autism.  During her internship at Developmental Disabilities Institute on Long Island, NY she trained with Dr. Ted Carr and his staff who specialized in the application of positive behavior support techniques in school environments.  She is a nationally Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She was the cofounder of North Star Child Development Center an inclusion preschool for children with autism. Currently, she works as a consultant designing behavioral and educational programs for children with autism spectrum disorders.
